This host serves one file per country —
/deals-au.json and
/deals-nz.json. Each lists
publicly posted gift-card deals, classified by discount mechanism and
rate, refreshed twice a day from that country's public gift-card tag:
OzBargain for
Australia and Cheapies.nz
for New Zealand. Deals link back to the original post, never to the
merchant, and there are no affiliate links anywhere.
If you run one of those sites and would rather we polled less often, used a different endpoint, or didn't do this at all: write to subsidy.app@gmail.com and we will change it. We read the feed twice a day from one scheduled job — not per user and never from anybody's phone — send a User-Agent that names the project and links here, and keep only the title, link and date. The description body is the poster's own writing and we do not store or redistribute it.
Nothing here knows a user exists. This file is identical for every device that downloads it, and matching a deal to anybody's subscriptions happens on their phone. Subsidy has no account, no sign-in and no server holding user data — this feed is the only thing that moves between us and the app, and it only moves downwards.
Subsidy is a subscription tracker that works out when gift-card credit will run out and when a discounted card is worth buying. Its privacy policy says the same thing at more length: the app has no account and no server, and this file is the only thing that moves.
